Unicorn Dream is a side-scroller with some of the blandest mechanics I’ve ever experienced. The gameplay involves 1 object that periodically flies towards you, which you must shoot, 1 horizontal attack that can be easily dodged, and walls (similar to the mobile game Flappy Bird) that you need to fly in-between. You also collect dolls by flying into them, but it’s unclear what their purpose is. You die after being hit 6 times, but there is no way to regain health and the levels are extremely long. The game isn’t even particularly difficult, it’s just so mind-numbingly boring that you stop paying attention and get hit. It feels like a mobile game ported to PC, but even as a mobile game this would be awful. There aren’t any redeeming qualities, this is simply a terrible game.
