The static speaks my name is a horror game where you play through the final moments of man contemplating suicide. It has a creepy, unnerving atmosphere, which does most of the heavy lifting when it comes to the horror elements. Because the game is so short, experiencing the atmosphere is the main part of the game, so I won’t get into details, just in case you want to give it a shot.
The game only has about 10 minutes of gameplay. While length isn’t directly related with quality, in extreme instances like this, it definitely hurts the game. The atmosphere is great and I wanted to play through a few different stories, which was teased at the end of the game. Unfortunately, those are just teasers, you can’t actually play any other characters. If the developer had fleshed out the game with more stories, he probably could have charged money for it and made a full length game. As it stands, it’s a free short story that could be worth a shot for anyone intrigued by the premise. It’s also only 10 minutes of your time, so it’s not a big deal if you hate it.
